Lisa Light: GDC 68238. As the practice owner Lisa is the driving force behind our team. She is qualified in conscious sedation techniques and has over 20 yrs of experience with all types of restorative dentistry. With a keen interest also in facial aesthetics Lisa can also provide for those of us who want to retain a youthful and vibrant complexion. When not at work Lisa enjoys volunteering and has made several trips to India to give back to those most at need. Lisa has also two energetic Weimaraner dogs who can be found bringing Lisa for a walk most mornings on the beach.
Rachel CalderwoodAssociate Dentist
Rachel has previous experience working at a dental practice in Newtownabbey as well as hospital experience in surgical and restorative dentistry in Londonderry and Aberdeen.
Kexin KangFoundation Dentist

Kathryn Hetherington: GDC 6499 Hygienist
Kathryn has been working with us since august 2004. She provides a comprehensive range of treatments to suit everyone’s needs. In particular she enjoys the ability to provide patients with the know how to take back control of their oral health. She also is happy to help those who don’t particularly enjoy ultrasonic cleaning as she can provide hand scaling as an alternative. In her spare time Kathryn is a keen baker and her cake decoration skills are outstanding.
Elaine McCreaPractice Manager
Elaine McCrea Lead receptionist. Elaine has a history within the banking sector and she has brought this organised approach to our practice. Elaine started working at the practice in 2012 and manages all the patients at the front of house in a way that enhances everyone’s patient experience. In her spare time Elaine enjoys travelling and exploring new countries and cuisines.
Ann AllenPractice Manager
Ann Allen: GDC 136962 Qualifications: National certificate in Dental Nursing. National certificate in Sedation Dental Nursing.
Ann started work at the practice in 2004 and has a wealth of experience working with the principal dentist and hygienist. She is our senior nurse and has a post qualification in dental sedation which allows her to help manage our patients who are more anxious. Ann has a young family and enjoys time watching a good film or a massive shopping spree.
Joan has also joined the Practice as our new receptionist. She has worked in healthcare for a number of years in a people facing role and enjoys interacting with the public.
Karen EmmettReceptionist/Dental Nurse
Karen Emmett: GDC 205726. Qualification: National Certificate in Dental Nursing
Karen started work at the practice in 2011 following the retirement of Dr Paul McCandless. She has an abundance of experience working within the NHS regulations and works consistently with our foundation dentists. She has two sons and a wealth of experience in dealing with those patients with special needs or who require reassurance. Kerry Carstairs: GDC 254408 Qualification: National Certificate in Dental Nursing
Kerry is a recent addition to the team, starting work in the practice in 2015.She mainly works with our associate dentist and has integrated well within the practice. Kerry enjoys providing a caring approach with all our patients. In her spare time Kerry has a young and growing family but also enjoys shopping and walks in the park.
Stacey LatimerDental Nurse

Stacey started with us in January mainly working alongside our hygienists. Stacey has a positive and reassuring approach to all our patients. In her spare time Stacey also has the talent of being a make-up artist and also enjoys keeping fit.
Ruth HudsonDental Nurse

Ruth is another recent member of the team started in January and works mainly with our principal dentist. Ruth has a wealth of experience within general dentistry and has a caring approach to patient management. In her spare time Ruth loves nothing more than taking in the sights when she travels abroad.
Sorcha RaffertyTrainee Dental Nurse
Sorcha is our new Trainee dental nurse currently enrolled on the NEBDN course. She has come from a hairdressing and sales background which has helped her gain good customer skills. The decision to become a dental nurse was made as Sorcha has always had a keen interest in the health sector and felt this was a good course to expand her knowledge.
After work Sorcha is currently taking driving lessons hoping to soon be an R plate driver. She is also is a big pet lover and especially fond of dogs.
